Hi friends,

I am a yogi and a health coach with a strong emphasis on healthy cooking and whole body connection. I believe the body and mind work best as one cohesive unit, and when balanced in harmony can help you reach your goals and live a happy and fulfilling life.

I grew up in North Carolina and then spent 10 years in Brooklyn, NY. Currently I’m living in Detroit, MI with my wonderful husband and our two pups Socrates and Rocky.

I found my way into yoga like most people do: I went searching for something outside of myself and through yoga found it was within me all along. In 2017 I pursued the opportunity to live in Nicaragua and teach yoga at a surf and yoga resort where my husband and I served as co-managers. This experience deepened my connection to my practice and lead me to pursue my 200 hour-YTT. I am currently teaching with Detroit Yoga Lab as well as leading private sessions.

As a lifelong lover of healthy food and cooking (and after noticing how much better by body felt when I honored it with real food), I honed my cooking skills with courses at the ICE Culinary Institute and The Brooklyn Kitchen and have been employed as a personal chef off and on since 2014. I’ve had the pleasure of serving guests in New York City, The Hamptons, and Big Sky, MT while working with The Culinistas, a weekly home-chef and catering service. Since relocating to Michigan in 2018 I have been cooking for clients in the Metro Detroit area offering meal delivery services, private dinners, and special occasion celebrations.

I’ve followed a pretty non-traditional path and I wouldn’t change a thing. I am passionate about empowering people to become their best selves by first feeling like their best selves; by starting the work on the inside and letting it radiate out. We are here to fully introduce our dreams, desires, and ideas into the world and leave it changed for the better. I want people to know in their core that the gifts they have to contribute are unique, necessary, and they matter — we’ve just gotta get outta the way of the magic we have to offer.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

I can’t wait to connect with you.

Love and Gratitude,

Rebecca
